Dependent Files

We have introduced dependencies to vehicles. This works in conjunction with the changelog.

When a simulation is run, a dependent file is created. The simulations are tied to the version it was run on. When there is a dependent file you are able to visit previous versions to view the vehicle but you will not be able to make any changes.

The changelog will also collapse changes in between key versions for easier visibility. However it can be expanded to view the intermediate changes between those version

If you would like to make a change from that version, you will be prompted to make a new vehicle via 'Save As'.

This will copy the vehicle from the current open version into a new vehicle file. This will create a dependency on the current vehicle and the new vehicle will have its vehicle units connected to this version.

Initially the vehicle will be locked in case you don't want to make changes to that vehicle, however you can unlock the vehicle via the property panel and make any changes you want.
